EN54 standards where applicable (by data sheets) or compliance with the specifiers requirements if different (from data sheets)<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of audible and visual alarm compliance with frequency ranges (from data sheet).<\/li>\n<li>Test records (to include radio survey data where applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2 Site Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>2.1<\/em> <em>Preparation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A selection of sites shall be made available to the inspector which are reflective of the applicant\u2019s business model and which shall also take account of the scale of the business. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the proposed sites are ready for inspection and that their client has agreed to the inspection being undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>To minimise disruption for the client it is suggested that the inspection might best be undertaken in conjunction with planned service\/ maintenance of the system<\/p>\n<p>The inspector will choose the site or sites to be visited.<\/p>\n<p>Where a chosen site has non standard or specialist equipment the inspector should be made aware prior to the visit and provided with information relating to the operation and test procedures for the equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Where residential systems are to be inspected then access should be arranged to a sample number of occupancies.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>2.2<\/em> <em>The site inspection process will assess<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Equipment locations, placement and labelling\/ identification.<\/li>\n<li>Control equipment indications and functions \u2013 including cross network communications.<\/li>\n<li>Power supply functions and standby battery capacity.<\/li>\n<li>System cabling and general installation works.<\/li>\n<li>Alarm circuit distribution.<\/li>\n<li>Random activation of detection devices \u2013 minimum 1 of each type.<\/li>\n<li>Random check of \u2018Fault\u2019 reporting on detection, alarm, communication and any other monitored circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Confirmation of \u2018Zone\u2019 and \u2018Address\u2019 text against records.<\/li>\n<li>Confirmation of correct system zoning against design zoning<\/li>\n<li>Random activation of alarm devices and check against sound levels achieved<\/li>\n<li>Random activation of interface units and check against Cause and Effect strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Random check of commissioned \u2018Cause and Effect\u2019 strategy against design\/ system specification.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of system \u2018Category\u2019 vs. \u2018Category\u2019 as set out on Certificate of Commissioning<\/li>\n<li>Inspection and confirmation of adequacy of Zone Chart\/ Graphics<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of training of system operators (users representatives).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-3345","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/3345","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=3345"}],"version-history":[{"count":7,"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/3345\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3641,"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/3345\/revisions\/3641"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mscert.ie\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3345"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
