Enquiry<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen we receive the enquiry we send the client a\u00a0questionnaire to complete, giving us details of their operation and processes. This will enable us to formulate a proposal for the certification cycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Review of requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nWe then review the information in the\u00a0questionnaire and determine how best to meet their requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Quotation \/\u00a0Contract<\/strong><br \/>\nWe then send them a quotation \/ contract (including our Terms &amp; Conditions)\u00a0covering the three years of the certification cycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Auditor selected<\/strong><br \/>\nWe then select a suitably\u00a0competent auditor \/ audit team to carry out the audit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Certification Assessment Stage 1<\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure that the client achieves the optimum result from the certification process, the certification assessment is carried out in two stages . The first stage is essentially a preliminary check of the quality management system and its documentation to establish if there are any gaps in the system that might result in delay in attaining certification. This stage involves a visit to the client, and a detailed examination of the documentation, which may be carried out off-site. At the end of the Stage 1 the client is notified of any aspects of the system that may not be in compliance with the requirements.<br \/>\nIt is important to understand that this is not a consultancy audit, and the auditor is not permitted to provide any advice in relation to how any deficiencies could be resolved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Certification assessment Stage 2<\/strong><br \/>\nOn a date agreed with the client, Stage 2 of the assessment of the system is carried out . This is a detailed assessment of the individual processes (both main processes and support processes). When the assessment is completed the client is informed of the outcome of the audit. The auditor is only authorized to make a recommendation to Management Systems Certification Ltd. The recommendation may be one of the following:<br \/>\n&#8211; Unreserved recommendation to grant certification<br \/>\n&#8211; Recommendation to grant certification when certain specific issues have been resolved. This may require a follow-up visit to verify the corrective action.<br \/>\n&#8211; Recommendation to refuse certification. This requires a full re-assessment. It is unusual for an organisation that has completed Stage 1 to have this result at the end of Stage 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Audit report<\/strong><br \/>\nOn completion of the audit, the auditor completes a report\u00a0and submits it to the\u00a0MSC office. The client also receives a copy of the report<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Review of the audit process\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThe certification decision is made following an independent review of the audit report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Certification and registration<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce certified the client is issued with\u00a0a certificate confirming compliance to the relevant standard(s).<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Surveillance\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure that clients maintain their management systems a program of surveillance audits is put in place. This involves either one or two visits per year, depending on the size and complexity of the operation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Re-assessment<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the end of the 3 year cycle a new cycle commences with a re-certification audit.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Complaints &amp; Appeals Procedure<\/h2>\n<p>Any complaint or appeal should be directed to our Managing Director in writing and all complaints and appeals are treated with urgency and confidentiality.
